Techmobility Central Ltd started trading in September 2009 and has been set up primarily so that Techmobility hand control systems, as well as various other Techmobility adaptations and innovations are available to clients local to Birmingham and Central England. We operate in the South Birmingham Area, unfortunately we do not offer a mobile service so if you do need an adaptation fitted you will have to make arrangements to get your vehicle to us. We offer a great product and I look forward to assisting you to get back your freedom of the road.

Why Techmobility?
It was late 2001 whilst riding my motorcycle to my job as an electrical engineer when I lost control, the accident that followed resulted in a spinal injury from which I will not recover.
Thus started a new life, the world of disability and all it's challenges were now before me. Seven months later I found myself discharged home from hospital and I had to start finding solutions to the problems that I now faced.
Very high on my list was the desire to continue working and at this point I started researching exactly how I was going to adapt my car. I looked into all of the available systems and luckily I had a leaflet from Techmobility showing the advantages of their push/pull hand control system. As an engineer myself of 15 years I could immediately see the benefits of it and ordered it for my car. I have used the system ever since and would not consider using anything else.
Such was my belief in the system that later when I came to change my car I requested another one but this was proving difficult as there were no longer fitters readily available in the central Midlands area.
Phil Boyling, (owner of Techmobility UK did make the trip up from Essex especially to adapt my car) and as a result we worked together for the first time to create the techmobilityuk.com website.
Much later when it came time to adapt another car I complained to Murray Walker (Techmobility Scotland) that there should be some ditributers in the Midlands. His question to me was "Why don't you be our Midlands distributer?" So that's what we have done.
As they say, "the rest is history".
I believe in the product, the hand control is the best available in the UK. I use it daily and I strongly feel that it should be distributed to all that need it. I have experienced and qualified auto engineers as part of my team ready to fit hand controls and any other adaptations you require.
